Your team on the floor

Campaign

Add your staff, give each a PIN, and let them switch in at the register, so every sale carries the right name. About twenty minutes.

What this is for. Each person on your floor gets their own name and PIN at the register. They switch in with the PIN, so every sale, discount and refund shows who did it, and a manager can approve the bigger ones without logging anyone out.

The Your team section of Setup: Invite your team, Set staff PINs, and Device access with Mark as reviewed
Register › Setup › Your team
  1. Your team in Setup. These rows open the same screens as the missions below.

Mission 1: Add your first teammate

  3. The row menu. Edit, set or reset their PIN, their locations, or deactivate them.

Type their first and last name and pick a role. The email is optional: leave it blank for someone who only uses the register. Give a manager an email and they also get an invitation to sign in on the web.

Add staff member: Email optional, first name Sam, last name Ortiz, role Front Desk, PIN optional, location optional, and Add user
Users & Access › Add staff member

PIN rules. Four digits for staff, six for the owner. Not all the same digit, not a straight run like 1234 or 4321, not a common one like 1212, and no two people can share one.

Mission 3: Register this register

A register is the tablet or computer at your counter. Registering it lets it hold a cash drawer, print receipts and lock behind a PIN. On the device itself, go to Setup › Register a register and choose Add this device as a register. Name it, pick its location, and save.

Add this device as a terminal: name Front counter, location Coral Lantern Dive Co., Cash drawer present, Auto-lock terminal when idle, receipt printer ID, and Add this device as a terminal
Setup › Register a register
